(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop early Thursday morning in Jamestown resulted in two arrests, uncovering active warrants and drug possession.

Jamestown, N.Y. – On October 17, 2024, at approximately 1:54 AM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department conducted a traffic stop near Washington Street and West 4th Street for a traffic violation. The vehicle’s driver, identified as Casey R. Penhollow, and passenger, Alvin J. Jusino, both had outstanding warrants.

Casey Penhollow was found to have an active warrant with the Jamestown Police Department. Meanwhile, Alvin Jusino had a warrant issued by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department. During the stop, officers noticed Jusino wearing a ski mask, and when asked to remove it, he resisted by pressing his head against the vehicle. This act led to additional charges of obstructing governmental administration.

A search of Jusino revealed a small amount of methamphetamine, resulting in further charges for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Both Jusino and Penhollow were transported to Jamestown City Jail, where they were processed for their respective charges.

Penhollow was cited for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree along with additional traffic violations, while Jusino faced charges for drug possession and obstruction. Both were later released with appearance tickets for a future court date in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
