(WNY News Now) – A violent domestic incident on the northside of Jamestown led to the arrest of Thomas A. Brewster, who now faces multiple felony charges, including child endangerment.
Jamestown, N.Y. – Jamestown police responded to a Northside residence on the night of October 20, 2024, at approximately 10:38 PM, after receiving reports of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers discovered that 33-year-old Thomas A. Brewster had unlawfully entered the home, assaulted the victim with brass knuckles, and caused significant property damage in the presence of two young children.
The victim, who sustained injuries from the attack, was transported to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment. Brewster fled the scene before officers arrived but was located shortly after with the assistance of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest took place in the Pomfret area after a brief struggle.
Brewster now faces several felony charges, including two counts of first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He also faces two charges of endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Brewster was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending his arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
