(WNY News Now) – A traffic stop in Salamanca led to the arrest of three individuals and the discovery of suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, authorities report.
SALAMANCA, NY – On Thursday, April 17, 2025, at approximately 5:31 a.m., Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies initiated a traffic stop on Murray Avenue in the City of Salamanca.
The driver, identified as 25-year-old Myah N. Seeley of Limestone, NY, exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Deputies quickly apprehended Seeley after a brief pursuit. Upon returning to the vehicle, deputies observed drug paraphernalia in plain view.
Sheriff’s K9 Lex was deployed and indicated the presence of controlled substances. A subsequent search of the vehicle and its occupants resulted in the seizure of suspected crack cocaine, a scale with white residue, multiple packaging materials, several pipes with residue, and $137 in cash.
Seeley was taken into custody along with two passengers: David R. Larkin, 45, of Kill Buck, NY, and Anthony J. Piscitelli, 33, of Salamanca. All three individuals were transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Larkin and Piscitelli were released on appearance tickets. They are charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia. Both are scheduled to appear in Salamanca City Court at a later date.
Seeley faces multiple charges, including:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree – Intent to Sell
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
- Two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia
- Resisting Arrest
- Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree
- Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree
- Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended/Revoked Registration
- Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle
Following processing, Seeley was transported to the Salamanca Police Department and held pending a court appearance. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
