(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop on the city’s south side led to drug possession charges against a Jamestown woman Saturday evening.
JAMESTOWN – On Saturday, April 19, 2025, at approximately 6:53 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon conducted a vehicle and traffic stop in the area of Forest Avenue and Hazeltine Avenue for observed moving violations.
During the stop, police identified the passenger as 49-year-old Jamestown resident Patricia Pearson. Upon further investigation, officers discovered Pearson was allegedly in possession of 5.4 grams of methamphetamine and 1.1 grams of cocaine.
Pearson was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Jamestown City Jail for processing. She has been charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.
Pearson was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
