JAMESTOWN, NY — A traffic stop conducted in downtown Jamestown led to the arrest of a Highland Hills resident on Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) charges, according to local authorities.
On April 12, 2026, at approximately 12:24 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department Third Platoon were patrolling the downtown area when they observed a traffic infraction involving a vehicle traveling through the city. Officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of West 3rd Street and Cherry Street.
The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as 38-year-old Timothy T. Jackson, a resident of Highland Hills, New York.
During the course of the investigation, officers determined that Jackson was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. As a result, Jackson was taken into custody without incident.
Authorities transported Jackson to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was held pending arraignment on multiple charges, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI per se, and additional traffic infractions.
