(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man is facing a felony charge after police say he violated an order of protection and became involved in a physical altercation at a west side residence early Sunday morning.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd Platoon responded to a reported fight at approximately 1:29 a.m. on May 3 at a residence on the city’s west side.

Upon arrival, officers determined that Michael L. Johnson, 28, had allegedly gone to the home of a male who is listed as the protected party in an active order of protection. Police report that Johnson then engaged in a physical altercation with the individual.
