(WNY News Now) – Judge Sally A. Jaroszynski, who is currently seeking election for Chautauqua County Family Court Judge this year, has been charged with 2 counts of Misconduct in Relation to Petitions, in violation of Election Law Article 17-122/7.

Ellicott, N.Y. – On October 8, 2024, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division launched an inquiry into potential violations of election law after receiving a complaint. Following a thorough investigation, Judge Sally A. Jaroszynski was charged with two counts of Misconduct in Relation to Petitions, as outlined in Article 17-122/7 of New York State Election Law.

Article 17-122/7 of New York State Election Law outlines eight violations that can result in such charges, relating primarily to the fraudulent collection of signatures for petitions and political nominations, and can be read in full here.

Jaroszynski has received appearance tickets and is scheduled to respond to the charges in court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
